As part of its comprehensive project to develop sports cadres in national clubs and federations, Tumooh Sports Management Company concluded the free workshop entitled “Financial Management in Sports Organizations”, with the participation of 40 individuals representing many sports entities in the Kingdom. The workshop, which started on Sunday, December 24 and lasted for a week until Thursday, December 28, was held in the lecture hall of East Riffa Club and was lectured by Mr. Hassan Faraj Abdel Ghafour from the Arab Republic of Egypt. The closing day of the workshop witnessed the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Al Buainain, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tumooh Sports Management Company to honor participants with certificates of appreciation, in addition to a special honor for the lecturer Hassan Abdel Ghafour, in the presence of Mr. Manna Al Mutawa, Executive Director of Tumooh, in the presence of the company.
Commenting on the holding of this workshop, Mr. Mannaa Al Mutawa said: Based on the vision and directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal, on the importance of developing sports cadres working in clubs and federations alike, we embarked on implementing a strategic plan that includes holding and implementing a number of important and free workshops to target the largest possible segment of workers in the administrative and sports sector in the Kingdom, containing important contents and themes related to the actual needs of clubs, to help them improve various aspects of their administrative, technical and financial work.

He added: The choice of the workshop “Financial Management in Sports Organizations” was a successful and correct decision, which represented a basic need for our various national clubs, in order to help those working in the field of financial management to choose the most appropriate and effective ways to enable them to perform the required tasks to the fullest, and we hope at the conclusion of this workshop that we have succeeded in achieving the maximum benefit for the participants, which reflects on the quality of their work, and help them enhance their role in benefiting from the great experiences and expertise of the lecturer.

For their part, the participants in the workshop praised the efforts exerted by Tumooh Sports Management Company, and its keenness to offer continuous workshops that reflect the actual need of clubs and federations alike, and contribute to serving a wide segment of administrative and financial workers, praising the prominent role of “Tumooh” in creating the appropriate atmosphere for them throughout the period of their stay.
The participants pointed out the great benefit they gained from the diverse and comprehensive topics presented by the lecturer, and said that the workshop preferably addressed many concepts related to financial management, its tasks and objectives, in addition to its place in the organizational structure of sports institutions, as well as the role of financial management in planning for the development of financial resources in sports institutions, spending and financing in sports institutions and their relationship with financial management, investment in sports projects and their evaluation. The workshop focused on the importance of financial management in achieving control and applying financial governance, its role in financial organization, analyzing financial data, as well as its importance in interpreting financial reports, stressing that the practical exercises carried out with the lecturer gave them a lot of space to benefit and exchange experiences regarding the field of applying the concepts of governance in sports organizations in general.
